Is this a bug in Lightwave or a feature of rectangular pixels? I
have a three sided pyramid that looks out of balance when rotated
around it's y axis from any view other then when directly facing
one of the sides. The pyramid was created using the cone option
to create a cone with 3 sides. The top is centered at 0,1.5,0.
Each side of the base is 1 meter in length and the pyramid is
1.5 meters high. All three sides are equal in size and shape.
The pivot point is located at 0,0,0. A four sided pyramid created
with the same cone measurements appears balanced when rotated
around it's y axis.
When the pyramid's rotation is such that one of the three sides
is directly facing the camera view, it appears properly balanced
(symmetrical of both sides of an imaginary line drawn directly
along the y axis.) As the pyramid is rotated away from a head-on
view, it becomes unbalanced/unsymmetrical causing the base to wobble
at the pyramid is rotated. How can I keep this from happening?
Thanks, in advance for any assistance anyone can provide.
